On the other side of the hall is a family size bathroom with double sinks, toilet and a large bath as well as a seperate large shower cubicle.  Adjacent to the bathromm is a cloak room WC serving the other guest rooms.

Down the hallway is the further accommodation.  All the bedrooms have suitcase stands.

The second double bedroom on your far left of the hallway has a good sized double bed with an antique armoir and windows facing South looking across the countryside.

There is a small en-suite shower with a wash basin and a towel rail.

Les Ecuries sleeps 12 guests plus infants and is a no smoking house and no pets are allowed.

All linen is provided including bathroom towels and swimming pool towels. The house is cleaned on changeover days. If a change of sheets and extra cleaning is required this can be arranged at an extra cost.

Les Ecuries is a unique place to stay and is ideal within walking distance to the hive of activity in Monsegur; there is no need to get into your car on an evening out!

The owners have recently renovated and refurbished the house which their attention to deitail has made a very stylish and comfortable home.

Les Ecuries could be enjoyed by you, your family and or friends.

Les Ecuries is approached through a gate from the roadside and you are lead into the enchanting walled garden.

You are embraced by a large lawn and an inovative eco swimming pool with lovely wide views of the countryside beyond.

On your door step is a traditional lime tree square where the locals play their weekly game of boules which I am sure they would welcome some friendly support.

There are bikes for a cycle ride and a ping pong table which are much loved French sports.

The dining table is a large wooden family table and can sit up to 12 guests comfortably.

The kitchen has a cooker, an electric hob, dishwasher microwave, coffee making machine with a small breakfast bar and stools.  There is a super large american fridge freezer to fill with all the regional delights from the markets and local producers.

There is ample crockery and glasses for your meals and a good supply of cooking utensils.

The back garden is equally enchanting and protected in a courtyard.  There is a large table with benches to cater for all your alfresco meals.

There is a great bbq area and terracing making an ideal spot for lunch.

Up the wooden staircase from the hall you arrive into a large reception area with a piano, table and benches and a seating area.  This is a great space for playing board games, cards or reading and escaping from the brilliant sunshine and activity of the house.

Off this hall is a large master bedroom with lovely views from three sides of the room with one window carefully framing Monsegur’s church steeple.   The bedroom has a large double bed with a pretty French armoir, a large bookcase, suitcase stands, dressing gowns and a table and chairs.

There is an ensuite shower room with a wide shower cubicle, WC, wash hand basin with a mirrored cupboard above.  There is also a heated towel rail.

Les Ecuries

From the breakfast room is a large living area that has been tastefully decorated creating a tranquil adult space.

During the out of season months there is a cosy open fireplace which is great for cooking steaks on.  There is central heating if needed through out the house.

There is a very sophisticated JVC sound system and excellent wifi connection.   The house has extra boosters so you will find a strong conenction of wifi through out.

This room also stretches the width of the house with doors leading to the front and back gardens.

The third double bedroom has a double bed with a chest of drawers, a hanging rail.  This room has a window over looking the courtyard gardens and the street beyond.

There is a fourth bedroom with twin beds a chest of drawers and clothes hanging rail. This also has the chimney breast in the room whcih in the cooler months makes for a cosy bedrooom.  There is central heating through out the house.

The fifth bedrrom is a large room with 2 sets of bunk beds and large fitted wardrobes making a great space for the children to sleep together.

LES ECURIES is a charming townhouse in the very popular Bastide town of Monsegur.  Les Ecuries is translated as The Stables which was once part of the large neighboring house which in Medieval times was the original Chateau of Monsegur.

The front lawn whilst framed by the old Creneaux wall and the Rampart’s wall below has a lovely view to the countryside beyond.

Les Ecuries enjoys the best of both worlds as it is situated in a quieter square to that of the main Bastide square of Monsegur.  The town is full of  bakeries, bars, restaurants, ATM banks and a decent super market as well as a lively weekly market and Summer night markets.

You enter the house from the garden through the old arched stable doors that are double glazed and walk  into the hall with a wooden staircase ahead.

To your right is a TV snug room that also has a comfortbale sofa bed increasing the capacity of accommodation if needed.

Off the hall is a downstairs WC and opposite is the  laundry room with boiler, washing machine and tumble dryer.

To your left of the staircase you walk through a stone arch into the breakfast/dining room and kitchen area.

This is a lovely space which stretches the width of the house with glazed doors leading to the back gardens and light streaming in through from the front.

The swimming pool is an eco pool lined in oak panels.  This is an alternative approach to a modern swimming pool which one of it's benefits are no chemicals.

The pool has wide steps stretching it's width to enter.  The pool is 4.5 meters wide and 9 meters long with a 1.4 meter overall depth.

The pool is alarmed.

The garden gets the majority of the sun during the day and makes for a great sun trap.  Although the pool isn't heated with allot of sunshine and wooden paneling the water warms up very quickly.
