Follow the staircase up to the second floor where there are three further bedrooms and a bathroom. Immediately to your left there is a lovely period brass double bed under the beams with a classic armoire and vanity table.

Opposite the hallway is a further double bedroom which also has a single bed if needed for an additional guest.  Adjacent to this room is a twin room which is ideal for the children but it has been know to be enjoyed by adults too.   Diagonally opposite the corridor is the family bathroom with a basin WC and a deep bath with a shower head.  

On the first floor there are two wonderful double bedrooms with en-suite showers and WCs.  Both rooms have enchanting views onto the Parterre gardens below.

Off the wide hallway there is a Master bedroom with a large double bed set on an angle which faces a double sink vanity unit.  Behind this is a shower and on the other side is WC.

Directly opposite is another large double bedroom with a shower and WC built behind the bed. This elegant room has a period fireplace and a large french armoire. See image to the right.


Le Manoir sleeps 12 people plus infants with 5 doubles and one twin bedroom.  Three doubles have their own en-suites and the remaining rooms on the top floor share a family bathroom.


All linen is provided including bathroom towels and swimming pool towels. The house is cleaned on changeover days. If a change of sheets and extra cleaning is required this can be arranged at an extra cost.

Le MANOIR DE JUILLEREAU is an elegant and graceful family home with beautifully manicured Parterre gardens and a large heated swimming pool. It is set in tranquil countryside and only five minutes from the historic town of Duras.

There are so many wonderful and variant aspects to the gardens giving ample space to find tranquility and relaxation.

Back through the dining room off the hall there is a side door leading you towards the gates to the swimming pool.  Ahead is a small downstairs cloak room which also houses the utility area. 

The pool is 12m by 6m and a good size to swim lengths and it has roman steps into the shallow end which makes a great area for young children to splash around and play.  The deep end is 2m deep and the shallow end is 1m in depth.  There is a pool alarm as well as the pool area being fenced in.  The pool is heated between June and September and runs on a chlorine system.


There are sun lounges as well as comfortable outdoor sofas shaded by a large umbrella.  There is also a large table for pool side lunches along with a fridge to keep food and that essential bottle of Sauvignon blanc chilled.

You approach the Manoir to the side of the of the property and there is ample parking to the rear and lovely views across the adjacent tumbling countryside.

When entering the Manoir through a lovely old wooden door you are welcomed by a formal hallway with large steps leading into the living areas.  On your left from the hallway you are lead into the the East wing of the Manoir and greeted by a large and wonderful bespoke family kitchen. 

The kitchen is well equipped and has everything that you will require for trying out your French cuisine.  There is a large american fridge freezer, 5 ring gas hob with a double Lacanche electric oven.  Further more there is a single oven and combination microwave as well as the essential  dishwasher.  The bespoke cupboards and have been carefully designed to incase all crockery, glasses and equipment you so desire.  There is a large kitchen table as well as an island.

Off the kitchen are stylish old french doors leading on to the elegant courtyard garden where there is a large table for alfresco eating on all occasions.  There are two large umbrellas to give you shade from the midday sun.

Returning through the kitchen and hallway you are embraced by an elegant living room which runs the entire length of the main house.  This room is split into two main areas one with a quiet reading area and to play chess.  On the other side of the room is a more formal drawing room arrangement with a TV, dvd player and a SKY box to get all the english channels.

Leading through into the West wing of the Manoir, to your left is a formal dining room which also has elegant french doors onto the courtyard.  This room has hosted many celebratory dinners and it is lovely to have the option of a more formal dining space for those special occasions. 


At the end of the dining room is a staircase leading up to a charming double bedroom with an en-suite set in the tower.

Manoir de Juillereau

This lovely double bedroom is an idyllic spot if you want privacy and to be away from the hustle and bustle of the main house.  There is a well equipped en-suite shower room with a sink, WC and a fantastic shower enclosure.

In the centre of the living room there is a wooden staircase leading up to the further accommodation.
